This CD is primarily intended as a 'Get you Started' collection of video and audio resources, to allow you to experiment and explore the facilities of CineWorks, without first having to capture your own clips. We have also included some example movies, edited and composed with CineWorks, which will hopefully give you some ideas for your own movies, as well as demonstrating some of the less obvious techniques.<br><br>
All clips supplied on this CD have been captured using either an Eagle M2 or Irlam 24i16 capture card. Although more expensive capture hardware is available, this CD demonstrates what is possible using just these commonly owned multimedia cards, and CineWorks.<br>
<h2>Video</h2><br>
This directory contains Acorn Replay Movie clips, sorted into appropriate subject directorys. These clips may be dragged directly to any video track on the CineWorks Timeline, or installed directly into the video Library.<br><br>
All video Replay movies have been compressed using the Acorn MovingBlocks compressor, at quality 2 setting.
<h2>Audio</h2><br>
This directory contains audio sound tracks and effects, stored as audio-only Replay files. These may be dragged directly to any audio track on the CineWorks Timeline, or installed directly into the audio Library.
<h2>Examples</h2><br>
This directory contains a selection of demonstration movies, which illustrate some of the special effects and features offered by the CineWorks package. We hope that these movies will inspire some ideas on which to base your own movie editing.

This directory contains AutoDesk Animator files, which may be imported into CineWorks by dragging them to the video Library, where they will be converted to standard Acorn Replay Movies.<br><br>

<h2>About CineWorks</h2><br>
CineWorks is a 32 track digital movie studio, centering around the use of MPEG, AVI and Replay video clips, with additional 16 track audio mixing capabilities.<br><br>
Video clips may be mixed together using a variety of transitions which are typically found in professional video editing environments. Transitions range from wipes and fades, to more adventurous central zooms and mosaic cuts. <br><br>
Impressive video trickery is no longer exclusive to professional producers on virtually unlimited budgets, but is now possible on Acorn machines with CineWorks offering facilities such as zooming, panning, rotation, shadowing, ghosting, chroma-keying, and opacity controls.<br><br>
Full vision correction controls are provided so any video clip may have it's brightness, colour and contrast adjusted at any time after capture, and even varied throughout the clip.<br><br>
CineWorks can be used to create overlay graphics, removing the need for expensive genlock hardware. However, for professional use, a 16 level genlock channel is provided.<br><br>
CineWorks is invaluable to owners of video capture cards such as the Eagle M2 or Irlam card, who will now be able to take the role of cameraman, director and producer of their own film creations.<br>
